Rules About Masks & Vaccines...as of Today

Overall, keep an eye on the new information that keeps coming out. These things are changing daily so we are trying to stay on top of all the new mandates and court cases galore! But here’s the what’s what for today:

  • As of right now you can ask staff if they have gotten the vaccine because it is not considered disability related information

  • You should not necessarily require proof of the vaccine, that could get sticky

  • Any information about the vaccine should be kept confidential and follow HIPPA guidelines (i.e. don't ask in a big group of people and keep the information as "need to know")

  • If someone says they have not gotten the vaccine, you should not ask why they did not get vaccinated

  • Do not put any designation on their nametag or anything that shows they are vaccinated

  • You can allow those vaccinated to not have to wear a mask while requiring those who are not vaccinated to have to wear a mask

  • But you do not need to require anyone to wear a mask unless you choose to.
