Q. "What does the Staff Handbook process actually look like?"

Answer:

Your Staff Handbook will be assigned to a HR Advisor that specialized in your geographical area, so they are familiar with your state's legislation.

The first thing your advisor will do is send a questionnaire to gather all the information needed for the initial draft. It covers all traditionally included policies, but we also have a list of additional policies you can add, as needed. If your team needs assistance determining which to include, your HR Advisor can help!

Upon receiving your completed questionnaire, our advisors and coordinators put together the initial handbook draft over the course of about two weeks while your team sits back and relaxes.

Once your advisor sends you your initial draft, you have 60 days and up to three revisions so that everyone on your team can review the handbook and make adjustments.

When the handbook is finalized, we provide you with the PDF file as well as an editable MS Word file so you can make small changes as needed throughout the lifecycle of your handbook.

We recommend fully updating your handbook every other year to keep up with the latest laws and compliance requirements. On off years, purchase a Labor Law Cheat Sheet for a summary of all the law updates you need to know for that year!
