Massachusetts Expands Uses of Earned Sick Time

Beginning November 21, 2024, the Massachusetts earned sick time law will be expanded to cover leave for reproductive losses. Employees will be able to use leave for their own or their spouse’s physical and mental health needs resulting from pregnancy loss, or failed attempts at assisted reproduction, adoption, or surrogacy. This law applies to all employers.

Be sure to update your earned sick time policy to include this new leave reason.
